This workshop is 9:00am-4:30pm

Join artist Micah Goguen for this fresh new approach integrating collage and texture with watercolor. We will be using a series of wildlife images to clip, tear and paint our way through a foundation. We will then learn the secrets of QoR Light Dimensional Ground as an amazing layering process we can then embellish with watercolor using stencils. This is a fun and exciting way to work with these materials and to display without putting them under glass. No previous experience needed.

We will be working with QoR watercolors and Ampersand Aquabord as well as GOLDEN Super Matte Medium and QoR Light Dimensional Ground and Watercolor Ground.

Materials Fee $15 paid at beginning of class includes:

6x6 Ampersand Cradled Aquabord
GOLDEN Soft Gel Gloss
QoR Watercolor Ground
QoR Light Dimensional Ground
Collage Papers/Materials
A TCW stencil (surprise design)

Supplies Needed  to bring for Class:

Your favorite brushes.
I like SilverBrush SilverWhite #6 Filbert and ½ Stroke
https://www.jerrysartarama.com/silver-brush-silverwhite-short-handled-brushes
-your favorite watercolors (primary colors of red, blue and yellow with optional black
I like the QoR Introductory set of 6 set
https://www.jerrysartarama.com/qor-watercolor-sets
-Additional panels (at least qty 2)
I like the 1/8 flat pack of qty 4 but they are not cradled. If you do not want to frame them, you may want to buy the single ¾ cradled panel instead.

-your favorite palette knife
I prefer stainless steel over plastic. Something similar to the 2T

-your own selection of collage materials to add your personality. This includes any photocopies, newspapers, prints, etc.
-a few of your own favorite stencils for variety.
