Gel Plate Mono Printing

This Workshop is 10:30- 2:00 EST

Get an amazing result regardless of your skill level with this gel plate mono print workshop. The clear gel plate acts as a transparency over the image allowing you to trace the subject using rich layers of color. You will learn the process and color application in an encouraging atmosphere while being introduced to new products and techniques. Students will walk away with a completed project. All supplies included. All skill levels welcomed. You can also use your own image as long as it is formatted to a 6 x 6 size.

Students will recreate the covered bridge using slow drying GOLDEN OPEN acrylics while working on Amperssand Claybord using a mono printing technique that layers colors one step at time.

We will use a subtractive methods to reduce the color from the gel plate. You will also learn value and paint application as well as printmaking. Students will. Learn how to register the work for multiple prints and to carve highlights as a final result.
