You will learn the properties of acrylic painting as well as a better understanding of brushstrokes.

Intro to Oils

Intro to Oils Jan 10, 17, 24

2-4 PM @ PERRY ART CENTER

This class is offered once a week for three weeks and covers the basics of how to get started with oil painting. You will learn the differences between acrylic and oil as well as how to care for brushes, application and materials used. Color theory will be applied and participants will understand the process of an underpainting. $90 covers the costs and includes materials.

You can also be part of our weekly classes. You don't need any previous experience to join a group. You can learn media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oils and clay. Weekly students have exclusive access to a forum in which you can receive extra tips, suggestion and support from the group. You can find the days, times and locations under "WEEKLY CLASSES" at www.micahgoguen.com.

Also coming in 2019... drawing intensive classes, subtractive method in oil or acrylic, intro to pastels, two point perspective drawing, figure drawing and landscapes:into to plain air. Check the website under "WORKSHOPS" for a specific topic or one of our seasonal retreats where you can get away from your daily routine and have a full immersion experience!
